Consultation has concluded. We will ask you for further feedback at the skatepark design stage.
Thank you
We are excited to provide an update on the Skatepark development happening at Avalon Park.
Back in November we asked you about landscape features you would like to see in the new Skatepark development and you gave us a lot of great feedback.
You told us you would like to have local experts work with the Skatepark designer, seating and shaded spaces, areas for beginners and improved accessibility for all users.
You also shared plenty of Skatepark design features for us to consider!
After a thorough process we have appointed Convic as the Skatepark designer, check them out at www.convic.com
We've put together an Advisory group including specialists from the Roller, Scooter, BMX and Skateboarding communities providing design advice from a beginner to advanced level.
Remember this is a replacement for the Melling Skatepark due to the large works happening at the Melling interchange.
So, what’s next? We want to hear from you about the most important things in a Skatepark such as the style and features you would like to see.
Convic and our Advisory group will listen to all feedback and then we will show you how it is going to look.
There is a survey below we'd like you to complete.
Consultation is open from March 4th and closes at 5pm March 15th.
