The City Leadership Group is made up of senior representatives of key organisations from across Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt who have been bought together to help shape the future of our city. It includes representatives from iwi, local and central government, businesses, health and education sectors, rangatahi and community organisations. Their role is to drive the development of Tō Tātou Tāone 2055 Our City 2055 and support positive, long-term change in the city.
The group brings their knowledge, influence and community connections to help set the direction of the strategy and ensure that diverse community voices are reflected in this work.
So far, the City Leadership Group has held three workshops to help develop the draft vision, values, goals and initiatives that will form the backbone of the strategy. Their ongoing work will continue to shape and support the strategy as it moves toward public consultation and final endorsement in late 2025.
