City Leadership Group
The City Leadership Group is made up of senior representatives from key organisations across Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt – including iwi, local and central government, businesses, health and education sectors, rangatahi, and community organisations. Brought together to help shape the future of our city, this group plays a critical role in steering Tō Tātou Tāone 2055 Our City 2055.
Over the course of five workshops, the group has collaborated to shape the values, vision, goals, and initiatives that sit at the heart of the strategy. Most recently, their focus turned to identifying and sharing actions already underway within their organisations, exploring what’s on the horizon, and generating bold new ideas that the city could adopt to reach our shared goals.
Their knowledge, influence, and community connections have been essential in shaping every section and chapter of the draft strategy, ensuring it reflects both collective priorities and real-world opportunities.
Looking ahead, members of the City Leadership Group will be key to bringing the strategy to life. They have committed to embedding the goals and priorities of Tō Tātou Tāone 2055 within their own organisations and to championing the strategy across their networks and communities, helping ensure long-term, positive change for all of Lower Hutt.
