City Summit

"A thriving city doesn’t just look like economic growth, lots of people or flash new infrastructure. It’s a city where its people feel valued”. Huliana Whonu Fanua, WelTec student and former Head Girl of Naenae College, guest speaker City Summit 2024

"Our history is not just a record of what has been; it is our greatest guide to what must come. We honour the past by forging ahead with new and revitalised energy, ensuring that our children and grandchildren inherit a world where they can flourish". Kara Puketapu-Dentice, Chief Executive of Taranaki Whānui ki te Upoko o Te Ika, guest speaker City Summit 2024

We asked members of our communities to share their thoughts on what matters most to them; what they’re grateful for in Lower Hutt, what we could do better and what we want to leave for future generations.

Read the report on what we heard.
