Work is underway to construct the Pito-one to Melling section of Te Ara Tupua. Key elements of the Pito-one to Melling section include a rail underpasses at Pito-one and Parliament Street (near the Normandale overbridge) and a connection to the existing Hutt River Trail.
As part of the work being done to create a safe shared path in this section, speed cushions are being installed on Bridge and Pharazyn Streets. The speed cushions are placed at locations where the pathway crosses the road. Their purpose is to lower vehicle speeds at the crossings to help improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists crossing the road.
We need your help to ensure the planned locations of these speed treatments are in the right places and do not cause distruption to local residents or businesses (eg access to driveways).
Below you will find a map showing the proposed speed cushion locations and an opportunity to leave feedback.
