Consultation has closed.

Work is underway on the co-design of a plan to help revitalise Naenae’s town centre.

Last year when Hutt City Council agreed to progress a plan for a new pool, it also decided to get work underway on a spatial plan for Hillary Court and the surrounding area, which brings to life the vision in the Voice of the Community Report.

That report told us the community’s vision is for a town centre that is lively and functional with multiple spaces, places and facilities that are separate but feel connected. They told us Naenae needs an energetic, compact precinct that reflects Naenae’s identity and supports the things that are important to the community.

Community workshops have been carried out from August to September 2020, followed by wider community engagement in October, with a proposed approach to the plan due to go to Council in late November.
