Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt is growing and becoming more diverse. Neighbourhoods are changing, and so are our communities' needs and wants. As we plan for the future, we need to think about what that means for the Spaces and Places Council and others provide across the city.

Council is here to support and enable neighbourhoods and communities to thrive and to be safe, connected, healthy, inclusive and resilient. We aim to provide Spaces, Places and programmes that will improve community participation and connectedness, reducing social isolation and increasing wellbeing. In order for us to do this we are looking for feedback on what's important to you when it comes to Spaces (parks & playgrounds) and Places (buildings & facilities) in your neighbourhood and across the city.

Did you know Hutt City Council operate three community hubs, five community libraries, two indoor pools, three summer pools, 12 community halls and support many other buildings and facilities as well as 57 playgrounds, and over 300 parks and green spaces!?

Below you will find a link to an interactive map of Te Awa Kairangi Lower Hutt which shows Council Spaces and Places. We encourage you to explore the whole city or simply focus on your own neighbourhood.
