Draft Rangatahi Action Plan
Consultation has concluded
What’s up LH Gen-Z’s? ✨
☕ We’ve got tea to spill! We are on a mish to get YOU more involved in shaping YOUR city. We’ve done some thinking on how we can get our rangatahi (young people aged 12-24) more involved in council related topics. We've drafted an action plan to help with that and now we need you to share your views!
🚀 Rangatahi hold the key to creating a better future and Hutt City Council (HCC) are committed to educating and engaging you, our rangatahi, in council matters to ensure your voice forms part of decision making.
📢Our draft action plan aims to effectively engage with you, amplifying your voice and making sure processes are in place for you to have meaningful input into decisions.
📑You can view the full draft action plan, as well as key parts of the plan on this page, under 'Rangatahi Engagement Draft Action Plan Documents'.
Here's how you can have your say:
*Have a look at the documents in the documents section (most importantly 'Strategic Priorities' and 'Strategic Priorities - actions')
*Provide feedback through completing the survey below - be sure to leave your contact details if you want to go in the draw for our epic prizes (16-24yr olds only)!
*Share any other thoughts or ideas in the 'Ideas' space
Have your say before Monday 1 April, 5pm and you could bag an iPad or one of our epic prize packs*.
Your feedback will be shared in a report to our Communities, Culture and Partnerships Committee early May and we will post updates here following that.
*Please note: We have two surveys, one for young people aged 16-24, and another for rangatahi aged 12-15. This is because there are different privacy requirements for under 16s around the collection of personal information. Unfortunately this means that 12-15yr olds aren't eligible for the prizes as we can't collect any identifying information.
Your city, your future 🏙🦸🏽♀️
