We're creating a Management Plan for Williams Park and we want your ideas.
Williams Park is approximately 6.5 hectares of open space, native forest, and recreation and leisure amenities next to Days Bay beach. On fine days Williams Park hosts hundreds of visitors from all over the Wellington region, visiting via ferry, public transport, and soon the Eastern Bays Shared Path.
Have your say
During this second stage of feedback we want to know your thoughts on the Draft Management Plan and the Draft Development Plans. We will use this feedback to inform the final draft of the plan.
If you would like to be heard in support of your submission please state that in your submission.

We're exploring other ways the Caretaker's House at Williams Park could be used and we want to hear your ideas. This will form part of the Management Plan for the park.
The house is currently empty and is not in a usable condition. If we keep the building, it will need a lot of refurbishment work. The other option is demolishing and replacing it with something else.
What are your ideas for the future of the Caretaker's House or the site its on?
The building is not listed as a heritage site. It was previously the waterman’s waiting-shed on Queen’s Wharf in Wellington. J.H. Williams moved it to Williams Park where it served as the pavilion for two years. After this it was known as the pavilion lessee’s cottage, and more recently the Caretaker's House. The house was last occupied in 2015.
